Walsh Bay Arts Precinct
Diversified was awarded the concrete and formwork package for the revitalised Walsh Bay Arts Precinct at Hickson Road, Dawes Point for Infrastructure NSW, and Create NSW. Home to the Sydney Theatre Company, Sydney Dance Company, Bangarra Dance Theatre, Bell Shakespeare, and the Australia Chamber Orchestra, the project involved the refurbishment of the heritage wharves at Pier 2/3 and Pier 4/5 on the iconic Sydney Harbour.
With the life of the project spanning over 2 years, our scope of works included the creation of over 3000m2 of acoustically critical performance floors for new theatre and rehearsal studios, including the construction of lightweight concrete slabs, design, and installation of acoustic floor mounts, plywood flooring, spotted gum timber decking and structural slabs, stairs and ramps associated with the facilities of the greater precinct.
